John "Dae" Walsh has had a passion for photography since he received his first SLR film camera back in 1985. Through trial and error he discovered the magic of photography: The blend of science and art. Much of his spending cash was spent on film, processing, and more equipment. Eventually he pursued that interest further by attending Rhode Island School of Design studying not only photography but motion picture film and video as well as optical physics. He graduated with a BFA in FIlm and Video.
His post college years were spent exploring careers in different visual media arts including broadcast cable TV and video production. All the while following the rapid technical evolution of film photography into the digital medium during the 90's, working in photo equipment sales. After years of Photoshop and print lab work for commercial photographers, it was time for John to get back behind the camera again. Portraits, weddings and events became not only of interest, but of importance.
Previously he worked for a national portrait studio corporation as an Imaging Systems Tech covering the western US region. Also, commercial photography for international businesses and product photography for local businesses.
